предварительная обработка изображения, предобработка изображения
набор операций, направленных на улучшение качества исходного изображения либо подготовку его последующей обработки, анализа или преобразования: для сканированных документов и фотографий - удаление различного рода помех, шумов и малоинформативных структур, устранение неоднородности освещения, царапин и т. п.; для систем распознавания - выделение объекта распознавания (например, радужной оболочки глаза) и др.; в видеосистемах и ТВ - обрезка изображения, изменение разрешения, преобразование формата и т. п.
